Hand in handManaging complex projects effectively

We lead your project to success

Would you like to introduce new software, optimise your existing IT applications or even transfer entire corporate areas into the digital world?

neusta enterprise services accompanies you through the upcoming changes in your company. Our experienced project managers and consultants find pragmatic solutions for complex processes.

In doing so, we dive deep into your organisation to internalise your structures, find the best possible solution and implement it. Throughout the project, we work hand in hand with you - agile, classic or as part of a hybrid approach.

We take responsibility, are organisational talents, communication professionals, caretakers and enablers with assertiveness and high social competence.

Project management

Short trip or long haul?

We manage complete projects for you from A to Z or fill individual roles for your already designed but not yet fully staffed project.

No matter in which phase you are or at which point you need support: We accompany you on selected stages or all stages of your digital journey:

With the project

Together and as equals, we implement your IT project with you. Our project managers guide you through the entire process and are in close contact with you. We take care of the requirements management, the implementation of the application, the testing, the training for end users and IT as well as the communication with all parties involved. Agile and transparent, we take the helm and bear responsibility for successful implementation. We always keep an eye on deadlines, costs, quality and risks. Effective project controlling manages resources and budgets.

After the project

For us, the cooperation does not end with the successful implementation of the solution. Even after completion, we stand by your side with our entire know-how as a reliable service partner. As part of our managed services, we take over your support tasks and keep your back free. This gives you enough time to focus on strategic issues. We provide fast and reliable assistance when you need it. It doesn't matter whether we accompany your project from the beginning or whether you need our support with running applications. Our experts are there for you - anytime, anywhere.

Before the project

The focal points in this initial phase are the detailed business process analysis, the definition of the project scope and the budget planning. We enter into dialogue with you as a sparring partner and define the vision and goals of your project. Evaluation and prioritisation of the results are based on economic efficiency and feasibility. Our many years of experience in project management and software development help us to classify these factors realistically and set the course for a successful project. At the end of this phase is the formulation of a clear project mandate.

Our diverse projects enable us to change perspectives again and again.

Project management methods

In the organisation and implementation of projects, different approaches have proven themselves in practice. Which methodology will lead your IT project to success depends on various influencing factors, e.g. project size, complexity, available resources, risks - but also on your corporate culture and your strategic project goals. Together we analyse these factors in advance and provide you with a well-founded recommendation for action.

Agile project management

Software and innovative products at team neusta are generally developed using agile methods - strongly based on the Scrum and Feature-Driven Development process models. These models are never used dogmatically, but are understood as orientation and inspiration.

The most important features of the agile approach are:

  • Work in fixed time intervals, so-called sprints, which are planned and prepared in advance in close cooperation between you and us.
  • Complete involvement of the client in the planning and implementation of the work stages.
  • A continuous, regular exchange at short intervals - usually daily - increases transparency and communication within the team.
  • We work in flat hierarchies. Communication is short - unbureaucratic, open and direct.
  • Only a few roles are envisaged, but their casting thus becomes all the more important.
  • Requirements formulated in everyday language (user stories) and their prioritisation specify which functions are expected by the users and which extensions should be developed first.
  • After each sprint, results are presented, experiences are gathered transparently for all participants and development opportunities for future work cycles are determined.

Many advantages result from an agile approach:

  • The development of requirements can begin early on, always strictly according to priority.
  • The first results are also available early
  • Since the implementation takes place in very close cooperation with the client, the result is better and closer to the functions that are really needed.
  • In agile projects, it is much easier, better and above all more transparent for the customer to incorporate changes and react to new circumstances.
  • Due to the high efficiency of this method, you as a customer save time and money.

Traditional project management

For predictable, clearly defined projects, a traditional approach can still be more suitable than the agile approach. This is the case, for example, in pure consulting projects or when the requirements, project timeframe and resources can be clearly specified. A traditional method can also be more suitable for strictly hierarchically structured organisations. In the so-called waterfall approach, project phases and tasks are processed step by step in one direction. The most common method, which we also use at neusta, is Prince2.

Traditional project management methods are characterised above all by:

  • detailed, long-term advance planning, e.g. in the form of a specification sheet
  • successive project phases, e.g. initialisation, definition & planning, implementation & control, checking & testing, completion & maintenance
  • a hierarchical project and communication structure

The strengths of this methodology:

  • The sequential, structured approach can minimise risks and identify possible errors in advance
  • Provided that the requirements are constant, conclusive and completely defined, there is clarity in terms of schedule and costs
  • Traditional methods are the only ones that offer the possibility of agreeing on fixed prices for the implementation of a project

Hybrid project management

In the context of complex large-scale projects and corporate organisations, hybrid project management is often used.

This hybrid form combines the best of the agile and traditional project worlds:

  • The structured planning of traditional project management is linked with the flexible adaptation possibilities of the agile method.
  • Pragmatic and situational action is taken.
  • A variety of instruments are used to respond to complex tasks.

The advantages of this mixed form:

  • It combines the advantages and strengths of agile and traditional project management methods.
  • The model can be used flexibly in all company sizes and sectors.
  • It is easier to communicate such a model to employees of multi-layered business organisations with diverse professional backgrounds.
  • Predefined structures and processes can be taken into account without having to forego modern, agile working methods.
  • The options for action are manifold.
